How a simple idea about food access became a network connecting farmers, markets, and communities across the Western Cape.
What started as a weekend stall at the Old Biscuit Mill has grown into a comprehensive service connecting producers and consumers across the greater Cape Town area. The mission remains unchanged: make exceptional local produce accessible to everyone who values quality and community.
Our founders spent years working in the hospitality industry, witnessing firsthand the disconnect between talented local farmers and the restaurants that needed their produce. Too often, logistics and distribution gaps meant restaurants defaulted to industrial suppliers, while smaller farms struggled to reach customers.
We built the bridge. Today, that bridge carries fresh produce from over fifty farms to hundreds of households and dozens of restaurants throughout the region.
Three principles shape every decision we make, from selecting suppliers to designing delivery routes.
We never sacrifice quality for convenience. If a product does not meet our standards, it does not reach your table. This commitment means occasionally saying no to availability in favour of waiting for the right harvest.
Our farmers receive fair compensation for their work. We negotiate transparently, pay promptly, and maintain long-term relationships built on mutual respect rather than short-term price pressure.
Local sourcing inherently reduces transport emissions, but we go further. Minimal packaging, optimised delivery routes, and partnerships with composting initiatives all contribute to lighter ecological footprints.
Our supplier network spans from the Swartland wheat fields to the gardens of Constantia. Each partnership represents years of relationship building, farm visits, and shared commitment to quality.
We work with family operations that have farmed the same land for three generations, as well as innovative urban growers pioneering vertical farming techniques. This diversity ensures resilience and variety throughout the year.
When you receive produce through our service, you are not just buying food. You are participating in an economic ecosystem that keeps agricultural knowledge alive and farming communities viable.
Explore Our ServicesBusy families deserve access to fresh, nutritious food without spending weekends at multiple stores. Our subscription boxes bring curated seasonal produce directly to your kitchen. You rediscover vegetables you forgot existed and discover new favourites that never made it to supermarket shelves.
Beyond convenience, there is an educational dimension. Each delivery includes information about what you are eating, who grew it, and suggestions for preparation. Children grow up understanding where food comes from, not just what shelf it sits on.
Professional kitchens have specific demands: consistent quality, reliable timing, and the flexibility to adapt to menu changes. Our restaurant supply service addresses all three while providing access to ingredients that distinguish your establishment from competitors.
Account managers with hospitality backgrounds understand your pressures. They anticipate seasonal availability, suggest alternatives when preferred items are scarce, and ensure deliveries arrive when your kitchen needs them, not when logistics find it convenient.
